Using version 3.5.2 and have three layers created. Have created markers on each layer but no markers appear on any layers, nor on the layer configured for multi. The markers appear listed underneath the map, just not on the map. I switched from using my custom marker to a provided marker but that did not help either. I just can’t figure out what I am doing wrong. Any ideas….?? Thanks in advance.

    Hi Robert;

I’m sure I’m doing something stupid, but, yes I did review the docs and FAQ’s before posting. I have disabled the other plug-ins used and swapped out to other themes but the issues persists across all.

The development site is https://oldwomanwithdog.com, and the map is located under Distribution.

WordPress is 3.5.1 and the plug-in is 3.5.2

    Hi Sandy,
I don’t get the problem as I see the marker on your map…
can you post a screenshot and explain more in detail what exactly is missing?

    Robert,

Thank you once again for taking the time to reply to my post.

Perhaps it is my misunderstanding then. I thought that one created
layers, if needed, with a base location and then created markers and assigned to layers, again if needed. I thought then that each marker would appear on the map representing a defined marker/location that could then be found in the list below the map. So, to summarize, I was expecting to see approx 45 markers on my map (defined as multi) but am only seeing the one that was defined as the base location for the layer.

    Have I completely misunderstood?

    Thank you again!

    Sandy

    Sandy,
please check if the markers assigned to the layer map you show on your website are also assigned to this layer. I am pretty sure that this is not the case as otherwise they would be visible in the list of markers and on the map.
If you go to “list all markers” you normally see in a own column which layer the marker is assigned to.
    hope this help,
    best,
    Robert

    Robert,

I have 3 layers. One that is defined as multi to show all layers, and another two layers.

A link to my layer list is shown here:

    https://oldwomanwithdog.com/filesforreview/markers.jpg

and to show the markers and that they are assigned to either layer 2 or 3 (1 is the multi layer on which all markers should appear and is found at the site that you have reviewed. Layer 2 and 3 are also under the menu item of Distribution but markers do not appear on the maps there either).

here is a link to the markers themselves

    Hi Sandy,
mhhh – dont know what could be the reason for this. Would need temporary admin access (info at mapsmarker com) to take a look at it by myself….

    Robert,

Email should be on it’s way to you with account info. Thank you so much for continuing to research this. It is truly appreciated.
I have created a backup of the database so feel free to do what you
need to do in order to troubleshoot the issue.

    Sandy,
got it. You entered the address for each location, but didnt select the dropdown address which is delivered by google address and needed for geolocation – so all marker have the same coordinates (I added the column “Coordinates” via Settings / Misc / Columns for you to see at “List all markers”).

To solve this try entering an address by starting with first characters, then use autoselect from dropdown. Afterwards latitutude/longitude field gets updated accordingly.
If Google doesnt deliver the exact address needed, you can enter the full address afterwards and save again.
    best,
    Robert

THANK YOU so much! I knew it had to be something that I had done or not done in this case. I most definitely will provide the review and will purchase the Pro version, when you’re ready to release.

Again, I sincerely thank you for your time and efforts on this.

    Take care!
