    Hi,
the name of the markers are not shown in the popup. They only appear in the marker list. I don’t remember if this is by default or if I changed a setting and they disappeared.
I haven’t found a setting to add them. And if I add the name to the description manually it would solve the popup-problem but then I’d have the name twice in the list. Any ideas?

    Thanks,
    Melanie

  • Hi Melanie,
adding the marker name in the popup automatically is currently not supported – anyway you can set to append the address automatically via settings / directions

    Hi Robert,

Would you mind elaborating? I’m having the same difficulty. Can I just add a short piece of code to the pop up that would call the Marker Name? Where would I do that?
Otherwise, I think the pop is great – really looks sharp!

    Thanks,
    April

    Hi April,
adding short piece of code to show the marker name wont work currently, sorry. For a later pro version I plan to add some improvements in the field of list of markers and popups, but cant tell you details yet (as I havent thought them trough 100% ??

    Hi Melanie,

You can disable marker titles at the Maps Marker settings section under a tab called something like ‘marker list settings’. After that you can simply add the marker title(s) in the WYSIWYG editor on the edit/create maps marker page.

I’m sure though that the alternative solution to automatically show the marker titles in the pop-ups as well shouldn’t be too difficult to implement, for example when you base it on the function which does that already for the location.

Great plugin by the way, but the CSS code is completely messed up and all over the place – which is a pitty. Takes forever to customize it.

    Hi PaulSlot,

thanks for helping out with support!

Will evaluate again, if adding marker name to popups automatically via a new option might be possible.

regarding css: I know, I havent found a way yet to better organize all css styles needed, as I have to merge them from different leaflet plugins for example and the current way is the easiest one to also update them if a new version is released…

    Hi Robert,

Thanks for your reply. Core problem with the CSS is that it’s included in multiple PHP files, elements lacking classes and multiple parts of code are styling the same front-end element. Would be best to consolidate it into one core CSS file, or create clear classes and allow for a custom stylesheet to override current styling.

Either way, got it all figured out eventually – keep up the great work!

    Best regards,

    Paul

    Hi Paul,
you′re right – the css is not as tidy as it could be – hope to find some time soon to clean it up a bit…

@melanie: FYI – Pro version 1.8 supports displaying marker names in popups automatically – see https://mapsmarker.com/v1.5.8p for more details
