Dear Joe, since the 1.1.0 update, the window to edit marker is has proportions probems. Certain fields like “Marker name” or “Image URL” are too wide. But most importantly, the text field is not wide enough anymore, as only 2-3 words can fit per line.

FYI I tested on Edge Chromium and Chrome, both on latest official builds.

Thanks in advance for the correction and kind regards

    Hi @ellocosolo,

Thanks for reaching out and sorry to hear you are experiencing issues.

Strange, I am not seeing this on my end. Are you seeing any errors in the console? Do you see this on the editor here?

I recommend clearing all of your browser caches and if that does not resolve this then try removing and re-adding the plugin. I pushed a couple of releases today, so it’s possible something got messed up.

Please do let me know if you are still experiencing issues.

    Cheers,

    Joe

    Hello Joe,

Thanks for your quick reply. Clearing cache did not help. I got no errors when I use the demo editor, but have thre following error in the console (multiple times):

wp-tinymce.js?ver=49110-20201110:3 [Violation] Permissions policy violation: unload is not allowed in this document.

Those errors do not appear in the console when I work on the demo editor, FYI.

Can I safely remove and re-add the plugin without losing any content. If you recommended it, I imagine it is the case, but I prefer to be 100% sue ??

Thanks for your reply and kind regards

    Hello again,

I went a bit too fast on my reply, sorry for that. It seems it is my .htaccess Permissions-Policy that is the cause here. I will try ro correct it and will inform you when it’s done. So don’t lose any time on this.

    Sorry, my bad

    Hello,

I edited my .htaccess file to allow unload (Header set Permissions-Policy: unload=(self)). I do not have the errors in the console anymore, but the problem persists

Can I then safely uninstall and reinstall the plugin, without data loss ?

Thanks for your reply and sorry for all the messages

    Hi @ellocosolo,

Thank you for the extra detail. Sounds like a frustrating issue!

Can I then safely uninstall and reinstall the plugin, without data loss ?

I recommend backing up your WordPress install first to be on the safe side ??

Deleting the plugin through WP Admin will delete your Waymark Settings (but not Maps/Collections). To avoid this you can instead delete the wp-content/plugins/waymark plugin directory. You can then re-install the plugin normally and your data should be untouched.

    I hope this helps.

    Cheers,

    Joe

    Hello,

I removed and reinstalled the plugin following your instructions above. Unfortunately to no avail. I installed Firefox too to make sure it was not Chromium related, but have the same behaviour.

As it seems I’m the only one with the problem, and that it is related to my WP installation (demo editor works), I think the best is to let go…

    Sorry for the inconvenience
