Marker dots showing in display view selection and date arrows

There are two ‘marker’ dots that get in the way of the date arrows and the view picker (list, month). I’ve tried inspecting and they come up as : :marker as part of user agent stylesheet.

I haven’t encountered anything like this before but can’t seem to get rid of them.

Any help much appreciated.
