• Hi all,
anyone know a plugin for having a marketplace, also called multi vendors system in a Multisite scenario?

I’ve found many plugins for doing this in a single wordpress installation, but when it comes to Multisite it seems there is nothing at the moment or I hope I’m just not so good at searching.

In short what I’d need, cause it’s already happened that someone misunderstood the concept of a markeplace:

Basically a system like ebay or amazon, but as we are talking of Multisite, the vendors will upload their items by their subshop and those items will be grouped in the categories taxonomy of the markeplace and buyers can browse through the different categories by the main page of the markeplace or let’s say from the directory page.

I want to expand a bit this concept cause as I’ve written above, these functions are already available in a single wp installation just installing a markeplace theme, but in that case, vendors wont have a website, but a simple page, a single space whitin a bigger space which is the marketplace itself.

Instead, what I need is having a marketplace running all across the subsites of the network where the owners of these subsites decide to also run a shop, which is part of the marketplace.

    This is the main difference.

I hope some of you know a plugin like this, but I’d be grateful also to read some opinions for a way to obtain a similar outcome without the need of a plugin.

Subsite owners can obviously already create their own subshops, but users have to go directly to the subsite of a seller if wants to find its items.
I’d simply need a main directory where users can browse through categories, which are few cause all the subsites sell items of the same niche of products, ( home furnishings ).

Guess it’s a matter of tags and redirections but I’d need some tips, some clues to figure out how to go on.

    Thanks in advance
