• Much about WordPress I like, but WHY on earth are all these themes wasting away so much space from my screen? And why do most WP themes have static widths, i.e. not widening or changing with the browser-window. I thought this was something we left behind us back in the ninetees. Nowadays we let the user/viewer decide how wide the page will be on their screen. They all have different screen resolutions anyway, so the set size for width is just silly, in my view. I dislike sites based on that. Look at this forum here. Why is it so narrow? Are you insane? I have 1280 pixels I want to use here, not 500.
    So:
When searching for a Theme to start using WordPress with, can someone make a preselection for all themes that have margins of less than a 100 pixels on the left and right side of the actual content, in ANY browser-width and resolution?

I mean really, I almost got chased away just looking through the first 20 themes. They ALL cause slack on my screen. If I would have wanted to see huge whitespace or grey space instead of content, I would have changed my browser’s Windows size.

Why don’t you just design your own? Mine is 100% width of screen. So are most of the customs I’ve designed for clients. You can use any layout you want.
