Margin at bottom of image and thumbnail in corner

Hello, I have a slider at the top of a page with an assigned hight of 175px. The slideshow is showing up at about 190px with a white margin at the bottom.

Also, there is a small thumbnail of the current slide on each slide. Can I get rid of this? This is the code:
