Maps not showing on Event Submission form Front end

    Hi everyone,

    I am encountering an issue where the maps are showing without problem when events are created in wp-admin panel. However, when users try to create events using the front-end submission form, the maps will not show and will just display “Location not found”. When I enter previously created location, the Google map will pop out however then error message reads “This page can’t load Google maps properly”. This just happened suddenly I never encountered this previously.

    Any ideas what could be going on?

    I cannot for the life of me seem to find what is wrong.

    From Google API side, there are no errors. Maps display perfectly when events are created from admin panel. Only does not work on front-end event submission page.

    Same problem exists with all themes that I’ve tried (including twentynineteen etc.)

    Any ideas what else to try?

    Just to make sure also, Have you added the Google Map API on Settings Page? Events > Settings > Google Maps and Location Services

    Have you tried trying different the Google Map Type Display located under: Events > Settings > Google Maps and Location Services > Google Map Type?

    Perhaps are you also using Divi Theme? If you’re using DIVI they have a different documentation on how to use google maps and they require you to add API keys also.

    Hi, yes I have google maps enabled and properly set up the API from the google console end. As I mentioned. When I create an event using wp-admin panel the maps appear fine.

    However, only on the front-end for when I create events; the google maps API which is called while you type in the address displays an error message saying: “This page can’t load Google maps properly”

    I am not using a Divi theme. Any ideas?

    just to confirm, did you already follow the steps from this tutorial? https://wp-events-plugin.com/documentation/google-maps/api-key/

    also, do you have sample link to your site for us to see and analyze?

    Could you share a link please, so I/we can have a look at the front-end submission page?
