Hi there, I’m trying to get the maps function of the event manager plugin to work on our site. I’ve entered the API, tested it on another site with a different theme, and all is well there. The site in question is buckeyehills.org which uses the zerif lite theme. I think there may be a conflict because this theme has google map functionality included. Anyone else experienced this issue or have any suggestions?

    Hi,

Have you tried testing on that site with the default WordPress theme?

Yeah same problem here. Have tried with default themes and stuff.
When creating the location it says it’s unable to find it. It’s readily available on maps.google.com when I search it on there. The plugin won’t find any location at all. Thus showing a “map unavailable” on the front end.

Any fix to this?? I would love for it to work.

    THanks!

If Google Maps in Events Manager are working OK until you switch to the Zerif theme, then that indicates an issue that you’d need to take up with their support team.

I’m not using that theme, Zerif. With Twenty Sixteen activated it does the same thing.
My theme, Enfold, is working perfectly with its map widgets and things. It’s solely with Events manager that it can’t find any location.

    Can you post a link?

Right now I have the Enfold theme enabled but I can switch to twentysixteen or we can perform troubleshooting steps I just need to do it fairly quickly as the client is reviewing it this week to go live so I don’t want to leave it in a deformed state for any long period of time.

I’ve gone through the API guide again and made sure everything is setup there correctly. It just doesn’t make sense to me if it were to be an API issue then my maps via the theme should not be working.

If we’re unable to figure this out quickly, is there a way to just disable make invisible the map part to the public? I don’t want it to show Map Unavailable to each person that looks at events.

    Thanks!

I’m seeing an error on your page for what looks like a video plugin:

Uncaught ReferenceError: ytcfg is not defined(…)

Try removing / deactivating that plugin, it could be that error is having a knock-on effect.

Is Google Maps working OK within Events Manager admin?

We don’t even have a video plugin. Videos that are there, are embedded.

I’ve deactivated the few plugins that we do have and Event manager is the only thing active. Still same result.

    Thanks!
