After reviewing errors in my Google Search Console, I see that MapPress is marking certain pages as ‘noindex’, and I don’t want it to do that. I mean, it’s pages where MapPress isn’t even being used, so I don’t see why it would be doing this, and I’m not exactly sure how to correct it, other than perhaps to stop using MapPress.

    Any advice out there?

    Hi,

MapPress doesn’t set page attributes. It could be another plugin – try deactivating all other plugins temporarily. If the problem goes away reactivate one by one to find the problem.

I’m sorry – you’re right, and I realized that after I submitted this, but was unable to change or remove it because it was being moderated.

What made me think that it was MapPress was because the ‘noindex’ tax was immediate after the comment place there by MapPress.

And as it turns out, it was because I integrated a new theme on a staging site where I told bots not to index it. So then when I copied it over to the live site, that setting went with it.

Anyway, thank you for responding in this free support forum.
