I’m not able to confirm something.
Is this plugin just to make sites to pages on other sites or to host multiple domains on the same WP instances, usually called multisite.

With Domain Mapping System, you can have multiple domains pointed to your single (non-multisite) WordPress instance.

Then, you can choose how to map those domains to specific pages/posts or groups of pages/posts.

While we are working on many other features that make Domain Mapping System a multisite alternative, there are some key differences now.

For instance, multisite divides up your WordPress installation into sub-sites that can only be accessed by certain users. Those sites can be assigned domains as well, but they are really like wholly different sites that can have plugins and themes independently activated on them.

Domain Mapping System may allow similar features in the future, but there are capabilities we won’t implement simply because of the nature of multisite. You can check our Roadmap on our website https://domainmappingsystem.com/roadmap/ and also make feature requests there.

Please let me know if I can clarify the differences any further or answer or other questions.

Ah, I see, it’s not a multisite mapping but may have benefits for what I seek. Thanks.

One more question since this is something that could be very useful depending on the answer.

I have different web sites that act as resellers or stand alone sites. I would love to have one single place to maintain pages/posts for all of those but I would not want visitors to know they are being redirected to another site’s info.

Does it hide all of that so that visitors would not know the pages are coming from a single site?

Can someone confirm the above please?

Hi @bloggy2013 – sorry for the delayed reply. Not sure how I missed this follow up question!

In our PRO version, we are currently working on a “URL rewrite” feature that should be available in the coming weeks. That means that every URL on a page with a mapped domain will be rewritten to the mapped domain. This won’t be available in the Free version, as it’s taking quite some customization and time to develop on our side.

At this point, when you map a domain with the Free version, the URLs on the page will stay as they are originally.
