Using MapBox API. Maps for Meetings display fine for Desktop/Laptop. But not for Tablets/Mobile. An Empty placeholder is there on the smaller screens….but no Map. Getting the same issue if using a Google API.
Theme = Flatsome. Entire site is up to date. Deleting all plugins but TSML does not help.

I am worried about how the TSML plug in is handling the Map SVG…I think this started after the last update for the plugin ….but not sure. Thanks!!

    Hi @masterlifterpro,

I don’t think anything has changed. Mobile for a WordPress site depends not only on any given plugin being used, but also on the theme selected by the site’s developer and the particular mobile device (I suspect).

When I just did a test of your site on my iPhone, I saw the map of all the meetings, and when I clicked on a meeting, I was then able to click on Directions to have it open in a map. I suspect that is about as good as it is going to get given the number of variables.

I’m willing to discuss this with some of the other developers, but the TSML plugin was primarily designed to feed the Meeting Guide app. Does your feed go into that app? If so, I suggest your users should use that vice trying to peruse the meetings via a mobile browser.

    What theme are you using?

Another data point, FWIW: MapBox maps work fine with TSML on iPhone; site uses WordPress SiteOrigin North theme with PageMaker plugin.

What I’m saying here is the list display of a Map (Not the directions feature or the Map display) has disappeared from Tablets and Mobile devices……but remains perfect in all ways on Desktops and Laptops. Once again I mentioned in the previous post I am using Flatsome.
When I open a meeting an interactive map appears next to the meeting info….like its supposed to on the Larger Devices…..but disappears on the smaller, but a BLANK placeholder remains…

One other piece of information is that I went to the Flatsome DEV’s and had them look at this and they said that the TSML Plugin was responsible and further suggested that when the a responsive image of the map was necessary a GET function was messing with the SVG of the map in TSML.

the TSML plugin was primarily designed to feed the Meeting Guide app.

Really? What about all the other 12-step groups using this plugin for their sites who aren’t connected to the Meeting Guide app?

I was curious and opened this site on my iPhone and have same results — not displaying map when viewing meeting, though it does show on desktop. Something is in conflict because that is not the case from many other WordPress sites (including mine).

Additionally, toggling F-12 from desktop Chrome to test the mobile version did not display the map either with the exception of iPad pro.

Hi @masterlifterpro, I apologize if I missed seeing your mention of using the Flatsome theme. I’m trying to get it downloaded and installed on my dev site to test further, but I’m on a very poor Internet connection right now while I’m in Mexico

I have tested two other sites (and themes) using iPhone and so far have found the MapBox maps show up correctly for individual meetings *and* when looking at all the meetings in an area. These themes include NISARG and Twenty Sixteen. I’ll try to do more testing as my connection will allow. So I think we’re still looking primarily at something with your site/theme, but I’m not giving up on reproducing the issue yet ??

@octotoot, What I meant by my comment is that it is *my understanding* the originally developer who created TSML did so in order to support a broader effort with AA and the Meeting Guide app. The focus with for the plugin was on the desktop side while the Meeting Guide app was designed for mobile users. That is why we encourage users to use the mobile app where it makes sense. Obviously that isn’t the case with all users.

Those of us involved with the Code4Recovery effort do want to continue to have the plugin be useful for any 12 step group that wants to use it. But we are limited by time and resources.
