Hi Novo-Map team – great plugin!

This has been working perfectly until recently but now the maps do not display on the front end such as the link above, and at https://www.bradtguides.com/destinations/iceland, etc.

There are two possibly relevant messages in the Console:
    – Google Maps JavaScript API warning: RetiredVersion https://developers.google.com/maps/documentation/javascript/error-messages#retired-version
    – DevTools failed to load SourceMap: Could not load content for chrome-extension://nkbihfbeogaeaoehlefnkodbefgpgknn/sourcemaps/disable-console.js.map: HTTP error: status code 404, net::ERR_UNKNOWN_URL_SCHEME

but oddly, the maps are displaying in the back end (that is, the Map Preview displays when you are editing a map).

Any feedback would be appreciated! Thank you very much,
    Simon

Hey I’m working on a brand new version at the moment… I probably need a little more time to finish it but hopefully it will solve your issue. Even though the plugin should still be working

Hey sorry for my late answer… you’re actually not the only one to have this issue. It has smth to do with the “unexpected identifier” message in the console. I’ll try to fix it asap

    Hey,

I investigated this issue a bit further and it seems some lazyload plugins are breaking the html of the infoboxes… which cause the map not to display. Would you mind telling me which plugin you use for image lazyloading? Another user was using Smush pro and was having similar compatibility issues.

We mainly use Jetpack for lazy loading but we do also use Smush. Do we have to deactivate both plugins?

All other users that had this issue had lazy loading enabled with smush. If you just deactivate the lazy loading feature in Smush the map should appear. I’ll try to see if I can fix this incompatibility on my side today

Ha, that has fixed it! In fact I only use this plugin on pages so I did not even have to deactivate lazy loading completely, just on pages. Thanks!

cool glad I could help. I’ll close the issue then.

Hope you’ll like the new version that should arrive this week.
