Map WPMU Subsite to Unique Domain Where Both Have Shared IP
-
I have installed a new multisite/network in the /public_html/ directory of my default hosting account. Let’s say this is mynetwork.com. I intend to use this to host other subsites which will be accessible at their own unique domains e.g mynetwork.com/subsite1 which will be accessible at subsite1.com, etc. Visitors should only see subsite1.com in their address bars.
I have set up the network, installed and religiously followed MU mapping instructions from the 3 sources below but the redirect just doesn’t work. The error message most times is
“www.subsite1.com redirected you too many times.”

I PARK the domains to be mapped to with the same host. Is this OK? Should I make them ADDON domains instead?
