Map user roles to user groups in phpbb

  • Is it possible to add different user types in WordPress and map those to different user groups in phpbb?

    Will the user groups update in phpbb when they update in WordPress? I want to restrict some forums based on user roles and I also want to deactivate users in phpbb if membership is not paid.

    I am planning on using WishList Members plugin.

    No groups are completely separated thing, on next coming today (since there is an important patch to apply due to a wp function that fail on recognize that an users already exist in wp in certain conditions) a new option will be added.

    you can choose into which group a new wp users is added in phpBB, and on very soon next coming plugin version, you can choose into which wp group/role a new phpbb user need to be added.

    A deactivated user in phpBB, if reactivated, is reactivated as subscriber, while if you change groups for user in wp or phpBB via user’s profile update, it will not update/change nothing about the user group.

    Yes it is possible to add something and we can consider to add.
    Is the plugin you indicate a free plugin?

    The plugin is not free. But basically a lot of plugins have different levels and user roles. For me, I want to sell courses and memberships. If someone is a member without having bought any courses, they should not get access to the forums for the courses.

    So I need to be able to grant access to those forums for people who have bought the courses.
