    Hey there,

Relatively new to the WP scene, found your plugin best for what I needed. I also noticed that this plugin is pretty new, so it’s awesome that you are providing basically exactly what I need!

Your product is very easy to setup and navigate through the menu offerings.

One thing I noticed when testing a map posting from mobile, is that the form takes up much of the page and map that accompanies it is incredibly small and hard to navigate to the desired location.

If I were to make a suggestion, I would say that the posting map should utilize the site admin generated default area, or if the user clicks to submit, the same location that the user navigated to would be displayed on the posting map. As of now, it goes to a fully zoomed out world map.

I know there is an address bar to get closer to the desired location, but when posting a pin somewhere out in the country, it can be hard to find exactly where you are on the small map.

Still though, great plugin, and I look forward to seeing it grow!

Hi @dbark9! Thanks for your feedback. And you are absolutely right! Diving into your feature request I discovered a bug that’s related to fullscreen & iOS compatibility and leads to a JS error eventually. I already could fix this locally and will release a bugfixed and mobile optimized version very soon.

    I’ll get back to you!

Hey @dbark9! I just released version 1.1.4. This should solve your issues with mobile screens and initial map positions.

Here are the features/fixes that v1.1.4 comes with:

    – bugfix: fullscreen compatibility issue on iOS (JS error)
    – better initial map position when adding another location
    – better responsive styles for small screens

So just update and you are good to go. Let me know if this works for you. If you like drop a comment on open-user-map.com, so that we can stay in contact.

    What a fast response!
I will say the mobile version is much better now, easier to manage with my large fingers. Excellent work.

I’m not seeing a change in initial map positioning when adding a new location though. On my end its still a fully zoomed out world map on both mobile and web interface.

@dbark9 I’m glad to hear you like it. With the next update I will adjust the initial map position after adding a new location to the initial map position configured in the settings. This makes more sense indeed.

Hello @dbark9! If you don’t mind you could help me with a thing. It happens that a WordPress algorithm deleted all of my plugin reviews (4) including yours due to fake suspicion. I’ve reached out to the WordPress team to clear this up, but eventually the reviews will not be restored. They say my mistake was that I added you (and the other three users) as contributers as well. This is not allowed though my intention was just to thank you and to show that everybody can be a part of the development process. IMO that’s sad and not a great move from the WordPress devs.

Anyhow, if you find the time I would really appreciate if you could rate my plugin again? The WordPress devs assured me that the reviews will stay online this time.

However I hope you are still happy with the plugin and please don’t hesitate to ask for further feature requests.

    Have a good day,
    Daniel
