Map object inserted above opening HTML tag

    I’m experiencing an issue with a map with multiple markers. I have two pages on the website with GCMP instances, one multiple (e.g. ‘where our clients are’) and one single (e.g. ‘contact’).

    We found an issue in IE<9 where the styling of the website was broken on the page with the multiple markers, but not the contact page. It seems that the object code is being inserted at the very top of that page, above the opening HTML tag, which is forcing IE<9 into quirks mode and breaking the styling.

    Has anyone come across this issue?

  • Not exactly the same scenario as you but I’m seeing <object> tags in the <head> as well. I found the problem to be a conflict with the Yoast WordPress SEO plugin. If I deactivate it, no <object> tags in the <head>.
