    is it possible to select an area on the map?

    Something like this you mean? The Gmap3 objects are exposed through events fired by the map initialisation. You can use the map object to draw layers over it. See FAQ 10 & 11 for more details.

    yes, and primarily interested in the ability to mark up polygons for users and receive these values after submitting the form. is it possible?
