  • I have the same issue too. I can create a map based on lat / long, but cannot add a marker. Maybe I’m doing it incorrectly – in which case clearer instructions would help. Or else the custom marker feature seems not working.

    Otherwise awesome work !

These issues most often show up when you have another plugin which also uses the Google Maps API. Can you try disabling all other plugins and see if that resolves it? If it does, then re-enable each one, one by one and check for the problem again. When you find the problem, let me know and I can give you a workaround script (if it’s a free plugin from the Repo, or one I already have).

Also, we’re currently putting a lot of work into this plugin now and the end result hopefully will mean we’ll be able to get around this limitation of the Google Maps API. No promises, but watch for that update over the next few weeks and let us know how it goes at that point.

    Thanks!

I actually did have another plugin running with Google maps. That’s been removed and now the markers are working. Thanks

That’s a difficulty we’re trying to overcome but it’s hard. A lot of plugins and themes all want to use Google Maps API. The issue is, we need Google Places enqueued along with it to work properly. Anywho, we’ll be actively looking to improve compatibility and play nicely.
