Is there a technical (or performance) reason why the map itself cannot be displayed in the sidebar?
I have seen sites that do have a world map of visitors on every page, and I’d like to do something like that as well.

So I decided to be bold and I put the shortcode in a sidebar “text” widget. It seems to work.

I am glad to hear ?? If that resolves your problem can you mark this support thread as resolved.

    Thank you

OK. I still don’t understand why the documentation says the shortcode must be on a page, not a post, but I’ll probably end up putting a static picture in my sidebar and link it to a page, because the map in the sidebar is too small to be useful anyway.

Hi, you can put the shortcode in a post if that is what you would like to do. The map in the sidebar is small but it has a hyperlink that when clicked the map opens in a popup window and you can increase the size of the window if you like.

    Regards
