    Hello,

I am currently trying to do a search directory for different organizations around me and I am trying to set up an interactive map page using your map view. I will have about 20-30 different categories on the map and was wondering if there was a way to give each category a different map marker color. I saw I can change all of the colors to one unified color, but I was wondering if there was a way around this to target an individual category’s marker color instead.

Also, is there a way to filter the categories on the map? For example, only show restaurant category marker locations and leave out shopping mall and school categories (assuming these are all in the same directory).

    Thank you for your time,
    Ian Harris

  • Hi @ianharris02,

    1. Currently, there is no option to change the marker color for individual categories.
    2. If you set your Search Result page’s default view as Map and then do a search for specific categories, the map should only show you listings on that specific category. That is true for the All Listing page as well, if it is set to Map View and you use the ‘categories’ parameter to specify a category, it’ll only show listings for that category.

    Hope this clears things up.

Any idea on when there might be? This feel pretty basic in terms of visual representation. I just purchased this thinking it was going to have much more customization than it actually does. Is there a roadmap with feature requests and the priority of those somewhere?

    Hi @zwoods,

We actually already have laid the groundwork for this to be added. We’re expecting it to add the feature by the version of 7.3.0, within the first quarter of 2022.

    Regards,
    Mahdi.
