Hi. Using WP 6.0, Jetpack 11.4. I’ve added the Mapbox token, and the maps shows up in Firefox, but when using Chrome or Safari, it only shows up as link to Google Maps. Is this a known thing?

There are no other map plugins installed, so what other plugin might be preventing it from showing up?

Can’t find any documentation about it. Thank you for reading this.

    Hi @difrctech

I was looking on your site, and couldn’t find any pages with Maps on them. Could you link us directly to a page where this is happening?

If you want it to remain private, you can also contact us via this contact form. If you choose to reach out directly, please include a link to this thread.

    Thanks!

Hello! Yes, it’s on the homepage there. If you’re using Firefox, you can see the mapbox image on the right-hand side bar. If you’re using Chrome, you only see a link to maps.google.com labled “Fillmore Street Office”. Is the maps.google.com link (one I did NOT create) just a Chrome thing? I’m only using the /map block that came with Jetpack.

Thanks so much for taking a look.

    Hi there –

Thanks for the additional information. When I view the site in Firefox I only get the link to the Google Map.

I have tested this on a site using your theme and couldn’t replicate the issue. Does it happen if you delete the old widget and add a new one?

Also, it looks like you have a caching plugin installed. Please clear the cache in case that is contributing to the issue.

Hello! Yes I’ve cleared the site cache over and over. Just tried removing the widget and recreating it but no luck. The correct map shows up in Live Preview, and in Firefox (for Mac). Safari, Chrome, and FF (for Windows) show the “Fillmore Street” link in upper right-hand corner instead of a map.

I don’t need to do anything else other than add a marker to the widget, correct? Maybe I’ve misconfigured it wrong in mapbox? Using default public token.

Really appreciate everyone’s help. Thank you!

Problem RESOLVED: Optimizer plugin is somehow interfering with how the map is displayed. Thank you for your support!
