many spam users registration without any registration page

    Hello,
    I am relatively new in the WordPress world, I manage a WordPress website since January 2016 and I am getting recently dozens of spam user registrations.
    I know there are many plugins out there to protect against this issue, but my real question is: How is it possible suffering all those spamming activities despite I don’t have a form for user registration at my website?
    I have just installed a plugin to protect my website, but I cannot understand why I suffer this problem if there is not any registration page.

  • Settings > General. Is “Membership” checked? If so, you don’t need a registration page to take registrations, they can be made at /wp-login.php?action=register.
