Many processes running under index.php are killing the site

  • There are many processes running under the index.php file, associated to my user name, that are killing the site, literally.

    I cannot get rid of this problem and it is getting so serious that it downs the http service on my VPS many times a day.

    Here is an example of a process created by this problem:
    /usr/bin/php /home/l********/public_html/index.php

    Could anyone help me, please?
