Many categoryID’s for Channel: Yandex

Thanks for using our plugin and reaching out to us. The reason there are multiple categoryId’s in the feed is because the product itself is linked to multiple categories in your WooCommerce store. The only way to show only one is to link products to only one category.

We have checked again and this really only happens when a product sits in multiple categories.

Also, there is something strange with the XML snippet you showed. This is how it looks when we test and how it should look:

Yours look different so I think you have made changes to the categoryId field? On the field mapping page this is how it should look:

And I 100% sure that product is linked only to one subcategory, but plugin also adds main category to feed. Look at IDs. https://i.imgur.com/r8irxOU.jpg

btw, this issue is relevant not for one product, but for all products wich is linked to subcategorys.

Hi arvet333,

We identified the reason why it was working for us and not for you. We were running the Yoast SEO plugin and you most-likely are not. Because the Yoast SEO plugin can set a category to a primary category when multiple are selected this solved the issue for us.

Now that being said, we just pushed out a new release of the plugin that should also solve the issue for you. Can you update the plugin to version 4.7.4 and give it a try?

Im also using Yoast SEO plugin. Updated to 4.7.5, and problem still exists.

One more thing, just found that problem exists only for variations. Single products going well.

Are you sure? We cannot reproduce it. Have you reprocessed the product feed and cleared any cache (plugin and browser)?

Yes, purged all caches and refreshed product feed.

Here is my feed, look at it by yourself. There only problems with variations.

We can’t reproduce the issue anymore with the last release we have pushed out.

Hi,
I have the same issue. Only the lowest category is “checked” in admin, but all the main categories are displayed i the fee when I use to display “Category” (I use it for prisjakt and Pricerunner) They can not display my products because all my products have several categories in the feed. Please help. I also have yoast installed
