manupulating the default categories listing in posts

  • Hi i have edited term_menu_order plugin so that it will order the categories based on term_group from database ..Problem is it works fpor this custom code

    i pasted this code in single.php and it appeared as a link in my posts ..see this link this the test site https://wptutz.com/2011/07/chair/

    now i wish to add a filter hook so that i can replace the default category list view….

    also i used the filter the_category …i am a beginner for wp hooks and plugin development

    it dint work except it removed the category names

    plz someone help me i m breaking my head on this
