    Hi,

This is issue is widespread (also with other similar plugins). It appears that it is not able to log emails from manually crons via woocommerces. For example if you change an order’s status to completed, it won’t log the sent out emails, while they are sent via phpmailer.

Is this is a familiar problem?

    With thanks,
    Demian

  • Hi Demian,

Thank you for reaching out and letting us know about this!
I opened a ticket on GitHub regarding this and our development team will investigate and try to reproduce and fix the issue.
We apologize for the trouble! I will reply here once we have a solution/fix.

    Warmly,

    Hi @demian85,

Thank you for being so patient!
We tested this and when we changed the status and the email is sent immediately and then logged. But from what you’re saying, the emails from your end are not sent immediately and they are logged after they are sent. Can you please let us know how you set it up so that emails are not sent immediately but after a while? Can you please give me more details about this? Thank you!

    Warmly,
    Mihaela

    Hi @mplusb

Thanks for coming back. I think the issue is related with a different cron on my site. I use a parcel plugin, which sets the orders on completed after they are exported to their fulfilment centre. It does not log any of the send out emails, when I disable this parcel plugin and I change the status to completed it does log it.

Not sure how to resolve this, because the plugin maker of the parcels has no interest in using a log plugin.

Thank you for explaining! Can you please let me know what plugin are you using?
We will test and see if we can integrate our plugin with it.
    Thanks!

It’s the PostNL Plugin (popular with The Netherlands)

@mplusb Question, did you manually update a bulk orders; like 10 orders at the same time time? And they all logged?

Hi, Demian! Sorry for the delayed response! Tested with both and it worked both times.
For example, these were all updated at the same time: https://www.dropbox.com/s/czzy3kruik9r4ea/Screenshot%202021-01-20%20at%2016.22.26.png?dl=0

Is it possible to let me know your settings for that plugin? You can add screenshots here using dropbox

    Hi @mplusb

The plugin requires an API to make it work. I would like to propose you take a look in a testing environment and create orders.

    With thanks,
    Demian

    Hiya @demian85 ,

Marius here, one of the moderators here at www.remarpro.com

I’ve removed your offer to provide login details, as this is against our support guidelines (even if it’s not for a production site). This is done to protect both parties if something should happen to your site.

That said, you are correct that the plugin author can reference you to their own contact forms, which sounds reasonable in this case as the problem resides behind an API requirement.

If you should have any questions or concerns about this, please feel free to reach out to the moderators in the #forums channel on Slack (a Slack account is required)

@demian85, please use the contact form here.
    Thank you for understanding!
