    Hi,

    Used WP Encrypt for SSL Certificate. So followed all instruction and did a method where to manually download and then uploaded cert files and keys through CPANEL etc etc.

    Now I want it to automatically renew certs and not manual coz i have followed a step to manually upload cert. Is it okay to go step 1 which is to configure APACHE config files for the SSL Cert to automatically renew even though I have already manually uploaded this which will last for 90 days, will it be okay to go ahead and configure apache files?

    Hi,

    you’ll probably need to manually reupload certificates under these circumstances. I (and the plugin) don’t know how your host integrates these certificates since you only upload them there. You can have the plugin automatically renew the certificates, but unfortunately you still need to upload the new certificates to your CPANEL before the old ones expire.
    The plugin can only automate the entire job when you handle the certificates directly through your server configuration.

    Yes, that’s what I want to do but I already did a step which is to upload the certificate in CPANEL. Did that this month but realized it would cool to be just automated. I was worried if there will be conflicts if I try now to just do automate handling certificates through server configuration. Will it be safe?

    This probably depends on how you do it. ??

    The plugin is not capable to upload the certificate to your host’s cpanel automatically. It can only store the certificate on the server, which will work automatically once you have set up SSL with the certificate in your server configuration. Follow the instructions in the help tab of the plugin screen in the admin to set it up.
