    Hi,

Normally I have the post notif settings on automatically, but in one way or another I had it on manually with my last two posts on my website.

So now there was no notification sent. How can I sent the notifications manually afterwards. The only thing I see at the Manage Post Notifs Sent page is a button “Pause”. So I clicked on this button and now I get the message on this page that both notifications are under consideration (“in behandeling”).

When will the notifications be sent and how can I sent them immediately manually?

    Thanks for the support.

    Regards,

    Theo

    OK, thank you.

I’ve installed this version. So next time I post a new blog I will see if it’s working.

    Hi Kurt (and Theo),

Great; I am glad to hear v1.1.5 works for you! I remain frustrated, however, that the “improvements”, introduced in 1.2.0, break things for you. ?? Very puzzling..

Thanks for the followup info (and I’ll keep my fingers crossed that 1.1.5 works for you, too, Theo!),

    Hi Devon,

Today I posted a new blog and it worked fine with v1.1.5, a message was send automatically! So I wonder what went wrong in v1.2.0

For the time being I will use this version.

    Thanks for your support.

    Hi Theo,

Thanks for the update; I am very pleased to hear that you are able to send notifications successfully, once more, with v1.1.5 installed!

Thank you as well for your persistence and willingness to try all the various things I suggested.

    Take care,
    Devon

    Hi Devon,

You’re welcome. I wonder how long I have to work with 1.1.5 without upgrading. But it works fine for me.

So this thread can be closed.

    Regards,

    Theo

I will try going back to 1.15 as well. Tao Scheduler is also not working for the last two months, which is the same amount of time that post notif wasn’t working. I am wondering if there is a connection.

    Hi Barbara,

OK, sounds good. I can’t say I am familiar with Tao Scheduler, so I don’t know what, if any impact, it is having on the situation, though the timing sounds awfully coincidental! ??

    Thanks,
    Devon

Before downloading 1.1.5, I thought I would try one more time to get the post to be sent that didn’t get sent as scheduled on April 1. I did that about an hour ago or so. When I went to look at “Manage Post Notifs” page a few minutes later it said Batch Paused 20 of 238. So I clicked “Resume” and then it said:
    Scheduled 20 of 238

It is no longer scheduled, the page has been posted.
On the post page it says:
Post notif for this post is pending.

I guess I will be downloading 1.1.5 but will it work with the latest version of WordPress? That was the issue with the Tao Scheduler.

Okay, I downloaded the older version and did a test send to myself. Have not received it and that was at least one hour ago. Why wouldn’t I have received it? Checked spam, nothing.

I finally had to go to another notification system, but I really don’t like it as well as Post Notif, please figure out this bug. One more thing you said that WP Cron must be enabled for Post Notif to work. Where is WP Cron located and if it is enabled or not? I searched around, but couldn’t seem to find it. I am only a tiny bit literate in all of this computer progamming, and barely keeping my website going, so any help would be appreciated.

    Hi Barbara,

I’m sorry to hear that reverting to v1.1.5 didn’t fix the issue for you. I am happy to hear you’ve found a suitable alternative plugin in the meantime. I will certainly post an update to the forum if I am able to identify a root cause in the code.

As for WP Cron, chances are that it IS running unless you have (or your hosting company has) explicitly turned it off (by adding “define(‘DISABLE_WP_CRON’, true);” in the wp-config.php file in your WordPress root directory).

    Thanks,
    Devon
