    Hello,

I’m manually enrolling a few students. They need to receive an email saying something like “congrats you are now enrolled on course A”.

But this is not happening, why?

In the Settings > Notifications > Enrollment. In the subscribers part I only have: – Author.
    – Additional Recipients.

When in the “Student Welcome” We have a box for the student.

  • @bttmrc,

The “Enrollment” notification is designed as a notification so that admins / instructors can be notified of new enrollments. This feature wasn’t designed with manual enrollments in mind (although now that you put it this way it seems silly that we don’t have one. I’ve noted this as an item to address in a future release).

However, today you *can* create student welcome emails on a per-course basis by using an Engagement Email (https://lifterlms.com/docs/create-email-engagement/). Use the “Enrolled in Course” trigger and select the course of your choosing.

Now during manual enrollment your students will receive this email.

    Hope that helps,

    Thanks @thomasplevy

I think I got the hang of the engagements, the bad news is that I have to do it for 30 courses lol

Btw, How can I change the css of the emails? I don’t like its colors and the content box is way too small.

Not to be too rude but if you want 30 different emails then you’ll have to make 30 different emails. I know it’s a bit of a pain but if you want that you need to do the legwork and I don’t really think there’s any amount of code I can write to make it possible to not have 30 unique emails if what you want is 30 unique emails…

Use LifterLMS Labs for basic branding changes : https://lifterlms.com/docs/simple-branding-lab/

Use filters to modify the CSS: https://lifterlms.com/docs/lifterlms-filters/#llms_email_css

    Hope that helps

    ?

You said so yourself that was silly of you not to have that. The emails are exactly the same the only thing that changes is the course name and link.

When we use woocommerce to sell products we don’t create individual emails for every single product do we?

Please forgive me. I respond to a few dozen support requests a day and I don’t always re-read the whole thread when I’m responding. I didn’t respond with the full context and I apologize for that.

Yes, if you’re trying to send email notifications for each enrollment this is a dumb way of doing it. I’m really sorry that I don’t have a feature built out to accommodate your needs. As I noted above I’ve recoreded this a feature enhancement to add in the future. I haven’t encountered this as an issue before so it just simply didn’t occur to me to build a notification. I take feedback seriously and we build new features when we have to. For now, manual engagement are the only solutino I can provide you that you can implement immediately.

You’re right. We are missing a feature. I’m sorry.

That is quite all right.I will mark this as solved, but let me know if you add that feature to a public vote on trello so I can go there an vote.

    @bttmrc,

I’ve recorded this internally to be built out. Many things that we should add we don’t add for public voting, we just build them. Please keep your eye out for this in a future version.

    Best,
