Hi, I was using FileZilla to manage WordPress plugins due to restrictions of the server.

A few months ago, I updated the Breadcrumb plugin from 4.x version to 5.1.1 version. And the Compatibility Layer “Plugin” was installed.

Now I just updated the plugin from 5.1 to 5.2, but I can still see the Compatibility Layer plugin on my “Plugin” wordpress page. And it says it needs to be updated.

Since the Compatibility Layer “plugin” is no longer needed, how can I delete the plugin manually with FileZilla? My server prohibits me from just clicking “delete” or “update” for my plugins.

    Thank you!

You should see a file named ‘breadcrumb_navxt_admin.php’ in the directory containing the rest of Breadcrumb NavXT’s files. You can safely delete this if you have Breadcrumb NavXT 5.0.0 or newer.

Please note, if you are upgrading manually using FTP, you should probably delete all of the files in the breadcrumb-navxt directory before uploading the new files. This will prevent the accumulation of old/abandoned files (as from time to time files may be added/removed).

I’ve just deleted the folder as you suggested and uploaded the latest plugin. It solved the problem. Thank you very much.
