Manually Copy the zip file in wp-content

  • Hi,

    I have tried to make auto update but it fails !
    A file named “wordpress-2.tmp” with zero size, is created in wp-content folder and nothing happens!

    Is it possible that I manually copy the latest zip file (wordpress-2.9.1.zip) in wp-content and make the rest of upgrade process automatically ?! If yes, how !!

  • Hi,

    Delete that temp file from your installation and try again, probably server too busy.

    For manual upgrade you have to unzip WordPress 2.9.1 onto your desktop and ftp over your WordPress installation.

    It does not work by ftp over the zip file into wp-content
