[Plugin: Google XML Sitemaps] Manually assign a page its own priority?
-
I have created a landing page which is _not_ the site’s Home page, but it _is_ inside the blog directory.
For discussion’s sake, let’s say this page is:
https://mysite.com/landing-page
I want this landing page to have a priority of 1. “Post Priority” in the XML-Sitemap subpanel is set to “Do not use automatic priority calculation”.
Will it work simply to add this page to the “Additional pages” section of the Google XML-Sitemaps admin panel?
I tried this and now have two entries, the second of which is the “additional” entry, with a priority of 1. (The first has a priority of .6, which is the default priority for Static pages.)
If sitemaps work like CSS, then the “additional page” entry will take precedence, and all will be cool. If having duplicate entries is a problem, not so cool.
Thanks in advance for any responses.
