Manually add pingbacks via a plugin or dashboard?

    I’ve used phpmyadmin to manually access the SQL database behind my blog and add 2 pingbacks into my comments, as self-hosted blogs do not pick them all up. (e.g. Blogger pingbacks are not picked up.)

    Is there an easier way? A plugin that will allow me to add them in from the dashboard? Or perhaps a way already built it to WP 3.1.1 to add a new “comment” as a pingback?

    I don’t know of a plugin that would do that. It would not be too hard to write a simple plugin that would let you manually enter pingbacks. My 2 cents is you should investigate why pingbacks aren’t working. Make sure to enable link notifications from other blogs in your Discussion settings. Which pingbacks are not working? Pingbacks from external sites or self-pingbacks from your posts linking to your other posts?

    Hi, thanks for the reply to this old post, which I had given up on. I get pingbacks from websites using WP, but it seems I do not from websites using blogger, for instance. I use the WP JetPack plugin which tells me about incoming links, but from this I must manually add pingbacks that did not register, such as incoming links from blogger sites. Does that make sense?
