Hey Abhishek,
We are sorry you feel so strongly about our free plugin designed to help WordPress users. We are only attempting to help people solve problems.
The “affiliate banners” you mention are simply 728×90 banners that link to our website. We are in no way affiliates – these are our companies. We do not get a commission or offer services that we are not directly 100% in control of.
We are also in no way compelling anyone to click on them or register with any newsletter in order to get the plugin’s abilities to work. Everything works right after “activate” – you don’t even have to navigate to the page you are referencing.
The one tick mark option speaks only to the simplicity of the plugin – nothing more. Not everyone is as skilled in WordPress or even the vocabulary of the internet as you and I are. We are attempting to meet the needs of many, not the top level users who have the time and skill set to master such concepts.
The intended users of this plugin are not the ones who have the ability to modify .htaccess (I mean, some people truly don’t even know where to find this file) or if they have the knowledge of mod_expires and how to solve dynamic JS problems.
The intention for this FREE plugin is simple: help people.
I hope this post offers you a better insight into our motivations for giving back to the WordPress community that has given so much to us. We would appreciate a reconsideration on your review.
