Manual Upgrade to 3.9.2 no DB upgrade?

    Hi

    I have a little bit a custom WP install going on and I can’t follow the normal upgrade process.

    No big deal I just downloaded 3.9.2 unzipped it on my computer… On my server I made a folder called archived and moved all the old wp files in there except the content ones… (themes plugins) Then I just uploaded the new files to the root of the directory and I was good to go… am I?

    I never got a prompt to update the database after I update the files… Do I need to do this? Will I have problems down the line? Can I manually do this?
