Manual Sort for our Staff Directory

    We would like to have our Staff Directory for our school district site sorted manually. The Superintendent and Assistant Superintendent at the top, followed by Administrators and Support Staff. Is there a way to accomplish this through either the Connections Plugin, or through any of the add-on templates or extensions?

    The Custom Entry Order addon seems like it would be a good fit to accomplish this requirement. Here’s a link:

    I suggest leaving gaps in the order number. For example, start at 10 or 100 and then increment from the. For example, 10 for the first entry, 20 for the second, then 30 for the third, and so on. Leaving gaps allows you to insert entries within the established order without reordering all entries.

    WE too would like to sort our staff directory differently, I’ve paid for the Custom Order Entry add on and added the plugin, I just can’t figure out how to get to a place where I can edit a field to use as a sort descriptor. Any help?

    Please edit the entry on the Connections Manage admin page.

    Locate the “Order” metabox:

    Input the order value and save the entry.
