I would like to attempt manual restore when I get access to the server but wonder if I can restore updraftPlus accessed from the admin area of the staging site (wp-staging plugin). (No backups made from staging server only from main site before installing wp-staging plugin.)

If that is not a good option, I’ll be getting access to the server soon and will try manual restore from the main site Updraft folder. Do I just grab the zip files from the Updraft Plus backup folder and unzip them in the respective folders? They overwrite everything in the folder? How do I handle multiple zips/folder?

    Thank you!

The issue is sorted now. See the thread in wp=staging forum, #post-10991423.

I would like some more detail about manual restores, i.e., uploading .zip files to plugins, themes, etc. to the respective folders and unzip? What about the existing files?

I’ll mark this as solved. If someone wants to comment on that newbie question, I would still welcome it.

    Thanks.

I understand now. Unzip the files and copy the folders over existing folders in wp-content.

Helps to read the documentation when you have plenty of sleep. ??
