Hi there,

On my website I occasionally create manual orders for people. The plugin works fine on a regular checkout, but not on manually created one (IE via a customer payment link). To reproduce the issue I am having follow these steps:

1. Log into a woocommerce dashboard, install this plugin and disable all other payment methods.
2. Create a new order and enter in any information but leave status as pending payment.
3. Click the customer payment page.
4. Observe that the Paypal smart buttons do not load
5. Click Pay for Order button and notice that it redirects the page vs a popup as per the normal.
6. Enter in payment information and complete checkout.
7. Observe that when returning to the website it does not take you to the completed payment page. On the admin side the order is still marked as pending payment, however has paypal now selected as the payment method. There is no transfer of money from either party as well.

Now for #7 that was what was reported to me by several customers. I have yet to repro it myself. It may be an issue with mobile as I have only tried chrome on a desktop.

If you are able to let me know what additional data you may want or need I can report back ASAP.

Hi @spineticspinners – I’ve just followed the steps you outlined. While I do see that the PayPal buttons don’t show up due to the page we’re visiting, I was taken to the order-received page upon completion: https://d.pr/i/tbuGHh

I also see that my order was set to Processing, not Pending Payment.

Can you send us screenshots of your PayPal settings? You can find those at: WP Dashboard > WooCommerce > Settings > Payments > PayPal Checkout

Hi Joey,

Did you test on a mobile phone specifically though? I had a customer just have this issue today. Here is the link to one of my 2 sites having this problem:

Hi @spineticspinners – I didn’t previously, but I set up a live site and performed the same tests on mobile just now. I went through the same flow as on desktop and was still taken to the order-received page and the order’s status was transitioned to Processing: https://d.pr/i/fptKc7

You may want to try enabling logging in your PayPal Checkout settings and then processing another test. If nothing useful is logged, it may be worthwhile trying a conflict test: https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/how-to-test-for-conflicts/
