Manual Insert NOT working

Hello,

I tried disabling the “add related posts to” feature then inserted the code ‘<?php if(function_exists(‘echo_ald_crp’)) echo_ald_crp(); ?>’ to the desired location in my template but nothing appears…is there anything else I should be checking/unchecking?
