Manual import from archived WordPress Blog?

  • I had a wordpress blog hacked, so I yanked it offline and saved all the files locally.

    I was running an crusty old (but not too old) version of WP (which is why I think it was vulnerable).
    So I installed a fresh version of WP and want to import the old blog archives to the newly installed version.
    Apparently I need to have a WXR file, but I can’t (or don’t know how to) get one since my old blog is now offline.

    How can I:
    A) import the files manually, or
    B) I don’t know what B would be, but I’d really like to get my old posts back up.
