Hi hope you can help. We have successfully set up a UK feed for Google Merchant fees. But are having trouble with US and Europe.

The website at current uses AELIA Currency, but, we use manual exchange rates set by the company for those purchasing from the US or for Europe.

My concern is how we get this to work – Google Merchant center are telling us our feeds are being rejected because I assume they are being flagged as Google is using its own currency exchange and the price isn’t matching for what we set for US Europe. Is there a way around this using product feed for manual exchange rates?

  • Hi,

Thanks for using our plugin and reaching out to us.

So what currency are you using for your US/Europe feed, also GBP I assume? I don’t think that that will work. You would need to create a feed in USD for the US and the proper currencies for your European feeds.

Hi yes, it just takes from that – so if I do a feed for US as USD, however I am still concerned it will be flagged by Google because the manual currency we set with Aelia won’t match what Google matches against (Assuming they check currency rates their side to check the prices match to show products?)

Is there anyway other way around this?

You need to make sure that the prices in your feed match exactly with the prices on your website. So when you add USD prices to your feed than make sure to also add deeplinks to your products on which Google can find USD prices that are exactly the same as in your feed, otherwise Google will disapprove of all your products. The same goes for every currency you are using.

Bear in mind that the free version of our plugin does not support the Aelia currency switcher.
