• The app had been working just fine till today (June 20, 2015).

30 minutes back or so, the Manual Check stopped working all of a sudden. When I click it, it gives me a blank white page. I am not able to publish any of the posts because of that. Help?

PS : I rely heavily on the Manual Check instead of automatic checking at certain time periods.

It’s not a bug. Featured image works as intended by WordPress.

Another quick information that might help.

I use Jetpack’s Publicize option to post new articles to various socail networks. It works just fine for automatic scans by PVD.

But, for Manual Check posts, the posts to social networks do not happen.

I am no WordPress geek, but here is what I analyzed: the Manual Check button force-publishes the posts, causing various chain of links actions to fail.

It would be best to revamp the function of Manual Check to do a normal, automatic scan in 5 seconds time or something like that.

Strange. I’ve never experienced anything like this in my use.

I’d always assumed that the plugin has a function routine to check for new files on Dropbox and the automated part just used cron to call the function at the chosen interval.
It would be strange to have separate implementations of the function (manual and auto).
It certainly works like that in my experience.

It sounds like your looking to create a new implementation to trigger the function – not manual check but a delayed 5 sec trigger of the auto check (cron).

Why not just go to freelancer.com and place a mini scope contract to customise the plugin code to your specific needs?

Thanks for the suggestion, Neil. I just did that.

But, it is really hard to explain the issues and the customizations to freelancers. Anyways, I gave it a shot.

It would be best to always the dev of the plugin, right?

I am still going to wait for PaoleBe’s replies.
