I’ve tried three times today to backup my church’s website. In the past I have had no problems. I’m no techie, but on a scan of the log it appears to have uploaded the zip files OK but then ends up saying “errors with the upload”.

I tried reauthenticating with DropBox, which has heaps of excess storage, and it failed again after that with what appears to be a similar log.

Here is the log from my third attempt:

Please help! We can’t (or shouldn’t) update our site to WP6 until we have a full backup. (Currently on WP5.9.3, Updraft 1.22.12 for third attempt, previously 1.22.11)

    thanks
    Shawn

    Hi Shawn,

The log does show that the issue is coming from Dropbox remote storage.
Do you get the same issue if you backup the database only? Can you test please?

    Thanks,

OK, I tried that and it appears to have worked. Confirmation email says:
    Backup of: https://brunswick.unitingchurch.org.au
    UpdraftPlus WordPress backup is complete.
Backup contains: Database only (files were not part of this particular schedule)
Latest status: The backup apparently succeeded and is now complete

    What next?

    thanks

    Hi Shawn,

Can you do another test but this time exclude the “uploads” component?
I suspect that the server is not able to complete the process because of the uploads component which contains most of the files. Best way to resolve this is to ask your host to increase your server resources.

Also, check this article for ways to reduce resource usage – https://updraftplus.com/faqs/how-much-resources-does-updraftplus-need/

    Thanks,
    Bryle
