Manipluate Users for CMS approach

I am using Role Manager and need something that goes a bit further, unless I can do it with Role Manager and don’t know how.

The site I am designing will have one manager and several other users. The manager role will be assigned as an editor while the others are contributors. I need the editor to have the ability to create, edit and delete users, so I am using role manager to assign those rights. However, that also gives him the ability to change his role, edit or delete MY role as admin and just totally screw things up!

So here is my question. Is there a way to assign him as editor and give the ability to add, delete, or edit users, yet hide any rights that superceed his? In other words, he can’t change to admin, to edit/delete the admin.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
