• Ok this might be a stupid question but why doesn’t the Manhattan theme have a home link. All I have is a about page.

I have tested other themes and most of them have a home link, when the theme has been installed.

Am I doing something wrong, or it is something with the theme?

  • some themes have them – some don’t
I never really understood the need if the header is click able
    if not, then yea

Ok, how can I add it? I am pretty good at adding pre-cut pieces of code. But I know that this is the first thing the user of the blog I am building would ask for. As some of us are not as savy as others.

    Hint my silly question

not sure since that theme does not include nav bars in the header.php
have you asked the theme author?

    I will be shortly . . .

Thanks for you help samboll I do appreciated it.

You make a home link by

    1) Creating a Page; call it home

    2) Clicking Settings

    3) Clicking Reading

    4) Make Home your static page

    5) Move the blog to another page.

Actually, you do not need a home button, if you click the Header link

Email me, if you need me to hard code a HOME PAGE FOR YOU

    – the Designer

I have two questions. The first is if manhattan, the designer would give a hard code for a home page and also let me know how to get rid of the header for each page I create. I have looked for it but cannot find it. My issue with it is that if you click on the page that says “about me”, I feel like it is redundant to have the header of that page say the same thing. Not a major issue but I would love to get rid of it if possible. Thanks!
