    Hi all,

I am in the process of designing a new politics blog, one of the features that I want to include is the oppertunity for readers to subscribe to mailing lists.

I have in mind three different lists, one would be for breaking news, another will be an early morning round up of key news stories and the thid list will be one that highlights the best posts of the day. What is the best way to intergrate this feature into the blog? Idealy what I would like to do is give site readers the option to subscribe to whichever list they want, is this possible?

I would also like it to be relitively easy to manage.

Any help you can give be will be a big help.

    Thanks in advance.

mailing list service depends on your host and/or an external service like Constant, iContact, MailChimp, etc.
the only webhost i’ve found that includes this service in their basic package is dreamhost. for reasons of spam, basic servers won’t just let you send bulk mail.
once you’ve got your external service set up, each offers ways (api/widget) to integrate the signup/subscription into your site/blog.

    cheers.
