    Hi there

I am trying to set this up with GoDaddy managed wordpress.. I have enabled 3rd party editing in my Hosting and tried to insert the password etc from there into LR with no joy, Presently I get a XML/RPC error stating partial connection. I have changed the XML/RPC to the godaddy SFS or whatever its called and still no joy.

Anybody have an idea on how to rectify this problem?

    Regards

    James

    Hello James,

I have no idea what is GoDaddy SFS.

I think the easiest is that you send me a login/password with admin access to your WordPress on my email at [email protected]. I will try to connect to it then we’ll try to resolve this.

    Hi Jordy

Have sent you the wordpress login as far as I see the plugin is ok there? I have also included a screenshot of the godaddy 3rd party remote thingy which uses SFTP / SSH.

    Thanks for the Help!

I could connect to your WP with LR. I uploaded/sync an image with it without any problem. After that, I went on the admin then got: “Error 429 Too many requests”.

I have never seen this error before. Looks like GoDaddy doesn’t like handling too many admin requests. Weird!

Then I tried modifying the image and syncing again. Doesn’t work, the connection is cut by GoDaddy.

Only one way to handle the issue at this point: contact them and point them to this current thread. I am pretty sure they will be able to help. They might have watchdog on the XML/RPC protocol, I am not sure, but I guess they know more about the Error 429.

Hi James, have you been able to resolve your problem with GoDaddy help?

Better is to avoid GoDaddy at this point, I have another user for who it was working perfectly for months until… recently. And they are not willing to help much. It works with HostGator and I believe they have the same kind of price and service.
