Manage stock don’t work

Howdy,

I have a product with 1 unit of stock and I make the purchase, if I go back to the product again it lets me buy it again because it doesn’t remove that unit from the stock.

Which product are you testing with exactly? Could you send us the product URL? We will try and trigger the behaviour.

I see that your product in question is a variable product. Could you please check if your stocks are managed at the product or variation level?

Additionally, please make sure that your product doesn’t allow backorders. If backorders are set to Allow as shown in the image below, your product will still be available for purchase even if the product is out of stock.

I see from the screenshot you shared that your inventory management is enabled at the variation level and the product is still in-stock as shown below:

Since you only have one variation for the item, what you can do to resolve this is by restricting the stock management at the product level for the item in question and disabling the variation-level stock management.

If your product items have multiple variations and you still want to maintain stock management at the variation level, you might want to disable the stock management at the product level and make sure to set the correct stock quantity for your variations.

The product referenced in the screenshot above was still available for purchase as its stock quantity was non-zero at the variation level. Any subsequent purchase should reduce and update the stock quantity for the product at the variation level.

Please let us know if orders are still being processed for an item while the stock quantity for an item is at zero(0) either at the product/variation level.

If by “book”, you mean the stock will be reduced for pending orders, that is not the default WooCommerce set up for stock management. For the product stock to be reduced, payment needs to be received for the order, and the status will progress from Pending to Processing.

Just checked all the steps on this threat.
My producto does reach the “complete” status, and even in that point, the stock is reduced.

Kindly note that the order status needs to be on ‘processing’, ‘On Hold’, or ‘completed’ status; only then, the stock is reduced.

So, if your stock is being reduced for the ‘completed orders’, this is the expected behavior. But, if the stock is not being reduced for the ‘completed orders’, then please provide us more details (mentioned below) so that we can check this further:

1. Paste here the product URL

2. A screenshot of your main inventory settings (WooCommerce > Settings > Products > Inventory). You can upload your screenshots at snipboard and paste here the generated link.

3. Screenshot of your product’s inventory settings (Edit Product > ‘Inventory’ tab).

4. Your site’s current System Status Report. You can get it by navigating to the WooCommerce / Status section of your site. Once there, click on the Get system report button and then copy it by clicking on the Copy for support button. Then paste it here in a comment.

Along with the above information, let us know how you tested the issue. We’ll check accordingly, and get back to you.

The test.
With that simple product, I have made the purchase of it 3 times, checked the order status on the process, but never get to see the -1 item on the stock even if the order is completed.
I read the documentation and I’m aware that the stock should change after the payment, and I don’t try to modify that process, but that process do not work on my site.

Also, this problem extends all over the products of my site.

As a notable data point, all the products where imported from a Shopify store, but the problem persis even for simple products just created directly on the site.

Here’s what the default functionality for stock management looks like.
And here’s the options available at the site at https://vapotlan.com.

The culprit here is definitely a plugin conflict and, while examining the System Status report you provided us with, it could be any or all of the following:
* Advanced Custom Fields: por WP Engine – 6.0.3
* WooCommerce Bulk Product Editor: por Lagudi Domenico – 2.7
* Stock Manager for WooCommerce: por StoreApps – 2.9.0

Feel free to deactivate them, one by one, and see when the extra fields, that now appear for stock management in your store, disappear.

Did the deactivation your point, and the field is not from any of them, the field you point out is from my theme “woodmart”.

It’s for visual puposes only.

But the issue persists.

Found the issue, it was a miss config with a multistock location plug.

Now I have to edit all my items LOL
