When I am on the “Manage Galleries” page, I just want to look at the most recent galleries first. I have not found a way to do that yet. (Yes, I’m on the most recent version, and yes, I’ve searched the support posts.) I’m not trying to sort pictures. As the administrator, I just want to see my list of galleries in descending order by Id or Date). Any ideas? Thank you.

Update: I found a 3-year-old post “Changing order of galleries in Manage Gallery PERSISTENTLY”, that solved the problem 3 years ago. Time has passed and NextGEN has made lots of changes to NGG in the meantime, including the names of the program files.

As a user, not a support person, I have a similar desire. But I have a simple work-around. When a new gallery is created, it increases the ID number. In Manage Galleries, the columns ID, Gallery, and Author are all sortable (click on the top of the column). If you click on ID once, it shows you in ascending order; click again, you get descending order…the latest galleries are therefore then at the top.

Not sure if that solves your problem…

    Hi @hoosierboy,

I will be happy to add it as a vote to the already existing feature request but in the meantime, the only solution is what Paul suggested. Thank you very much for the help.

@mihaiimagely Yes please. Another place where I’d like the same capability is on the Add Gallery/Images page, on the Gallery pull-down. I almost never add images to older galleries (some dating back years!) and the ones at the bottom of the list are inevitably the ones I want to add images to.
